Labor and Delivery
The labor and delivery area at
Flowers Hospital
is designed to provide medical efficiency, patient comfort and family involvement in the birth of your baby.
The Birthing Center features:
- 10 labor and delivery (LDR) birthing rooms, each containing a birthing bed for delivery and radiant warmer for the baby
- Two dedicated operating suites for cesarean section delivery
- Private breastfeeding support rooms
- Bedside fetal monitors
- A security system
LDR rooms can be used for labor, delivery and recovery, thus eliminating the need to be moved from one room to another. In an effort to enhance and support the family unit during your special event, physicians and nurses encourage the father and/or designated support person to stay with you during the labor and delivery period.
