Maternity Care
Having a baby is one of the most exciting and rewarding times in a woman's life, and Flowers Hospital is dedicated to providing expectant mothers and newborns with the finest care during this special time. Our maternity services are provided by obstetricians, labor and delivery specialists, nurses and other caring professionals in a welcoming, comfortable environment.
We want your birthing experience at Flowers Hospital to be special and for you to feel comfortable. We go to great lengths to help you feel like you're a part of our family. That's why we offer special amenities for expecting parents.
Steak Dinner
The evening prior to your discharge, the dining staff will provide new mothers with a steak dinner for two to celebrate your new arrival.
Mommy Time
Post-delivery "Mommy time" is set aside every day from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. You will be undisturbed by staff and visitors to allow for rest and bonding time with your new baby.
Breastfeeding Program
A lactation counselor is available to provide teaching and assistance with nursing your baby while you are in the hospital. We also offer information and education once you are home.

Skin-to-Skin Contact
Flowers Hospital allows for uninterrupted skin-to-skin contact immediately after birth, for both cesarean and vaginal deliveries. The first moments of life outside of the womb are a special time for baby and parents to meet.
Skin-to-skin contact may not be possible if the baby or mother is unstable and requires medical attention.
Clear Drapes for Cesarean Sections
Flowers Hospital offers clear drapes for cesarean sections. The clear drapes are a family-centered approach that allows for the mother to see her baby being delivered.
