New Internal Medicine Physician joins the Hospitalist Program at Flowers Hospital
DOTHAN, AL, (September 24, 2013) – The Medical Staff of Flowers Hospital welcomes board certified Internist April Grace Nevarez-Maggard, DO to the Hospitalist Program at Flowers Hospital.
Dr. Nevarez specializes in providing medical treatment within the hospital setting only. As a Hospitalist, she can often help to speed a patient’s recovery and shorten hospital stays by following up on tests and adjusting treatment plans throughout the day. She will maintain ongoing communication with the patient’s regular physician, transferring care back to their primary care doctor upon discharge.
Following the completion of her residency, Dr. Nevarez and her family chose Dothan as their home. Both she and her husband Michael Maggard, a firefighter at Ft. Rucker, enjoy spending time with their 9 month old daughter as well as participating in missionary work and traveling.
