2/28/2017
Flowers Hospital recently received the 2016 Platinum Performance Achievement Award from the National Cardiovascular Data Registry for the ACTION Registry-GWTG. Flowers Hospital was the only hospital in the state of Alabama to receive this award.
The award is given to hospitals that demonstrate sustained achievement of performance measures in the treatment of heart attack patients through the implementation of ACTION Registry®-GWTG™ and in-hospital initiation of the American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association Clinical Guideline recommendations.
The ACTION Registry-GWTG is a risk-adjusted, outcomes-based quality improvement program that focuses exclusively on high-risk STEMI/NSTEMI patients. It helps hospitals apply College of Cardiology/American Heart Association clinical guideline recommendations in their facilities and provides invaluable tools to measure care and achieve quality improvement goals.
