New Emergency Room Physician joins the Medical Staff at Flowers Hospital
DOTHAN, AL, (September 12, 2013) – Emergency Medicine physician Angela R. Adams, MD, has joined the medical staff of Flowers Hospital.
Dr. Adams graduated from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana and completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at St. Louis University, St. Louis, Missouri.
Her love of math and science directed Dr. Adams to medicine, her desire for diversity and growth lead her to choose emergency medicine as her specialty. Having attended elementary school at Ft. Rucker, Adams wanted to stay in the south and chose Dothan, Alabama and Flowers Hospital to start her practice. When she is not working, she enjoys playing with her Jack Russell Terrier, watching movies and traveling home to family and friends.
“Our increasing emergency room visits have prompted us to expand our staff in order to continue providing the quality of care, patient safety and level of service we want to deliver to our patients,” says Suzanne Woods, CEO at Flowers Hospital. “Her addition to our staffing will help to meet the hospital’s goal of caring for our patients as family.”
