Flowers Hospital Recognizes National Doctors Day with Donations to Local Organizations
5/9/2025
For the fourth consecutive year, Flowers Hospital made charitable contributions to local non-profit organizations in recognition of National Doctors’ Day in March. Many of the non-profit organizations in the Wiregrass area work to directly address the social determinants of health and have a significant impact on the lives of area residents.
This year, after receiving nominations from medical staff members, Flowers Hospital’s Medical Executive Committee voted to donate $1,000 to each of the six organizations below.
- Exchange Center for Child Abuse Prevention
- Girls, Inc.
- Living Waters Counseling
- New Promise Cancer Foundation
- Time Youth Dothan
- Wiregrass Hope
Since 2022, Flowers Hospital has donated $18,000 to honor its medical staff on National Doctors’ Day. Flowers Hospital chief executive officer Steve Gordon says the hospital is proud to honor the service of its medical staff members with these donations and hopes the positive impact these providers have on the Wiregrass community is extended through the hard work of these organizations.
