Flowers Hospital prides itself in caring for women and children. Our Center for Women and Children provides a patient-friendly atmosphere dedicated to their care. The Center resembles a comfortable, upscale hotel rather than a traditional medical facility, and is designed to help our patients and their families feel at home while receiving quality healthcare.
The rooms feature hard-wood floor finishes, chairs, sofas, desks, and glider rockers. Additionally, all rooms are equipped with wireless Internet capability and DVD players for the comfort and convenience of our patients and their families. Dedicated to meeting the healthcare needs of women, the Women’s Suites at Flowers accommodate new mothers as well as women undergoing treatment for other medical conditions.

Birthing Suites Experiencing the birth of a child is truly one of the highlights of a woman’s life, and at Flowers Hospital, the Labor and Delivery department features 10 Birthing Suites. There are also two surgical suites within the department for patients who undergo Cesarean section deliveries. Our Labor and Delivery Unit utilizes an advanced computer system for charting, surveillance, and the archiving of fetal monitor strips.

The Fetal Monitor detects and displays the fetal heartbeat allowing the physician and nurses to carefully monitor the unborn child during pregnancy, labor and childbirth. This effort is made to protect and preserve the well being of both the expectant mother and her unborn child.
After giving birth, mothers and their newborns are cared for by an experienced nursing staff in a postpartum suite. This area features hard-wood floor finishes, chairs, sofas, desks, glider rockers, wireless Internet capability, and DVD players for the convenience of the new parents and their guests. At Flowers Hospital, our motto is “it’s your choice” when it comes to deciding where the baby will sleep at night. Parents have the option of their newborn staying in the room with them after delivery or to stay in the nursery so mom and dad have a chance to rest and prepare for the joyous journey ahead.

Pediatrics
The vibrant surroundings in Pediatrics provide a cheerful atmosphere for young patients, helping to ease the anxiety they might experience while being in a hospital. The Pediatric wing has been transformed into a woodland scene featuring animals, trees and foot path trails throughout the hallways. This area also features wireless Internet capability and DVD players.
Professional Staff
The Flowers Hospital Center for Women and Children is proud to be served by a professional medical staff of obstetricians, gynecologists and pediatricians and experienced registered nurses. These caring individuals ensure patients receive high-quality care during their stay at Flowers Hospital.
We hope you have an opportunity to visit our Center for Women and Children. If you are a patient or a visitor at the Center and hear the Brahms Lullaby playing over the public address system, you’ll know the birth of a new baby is being celebrated!
