Center for Women and Children
Flowers Hospital prides itself in caring for women and children, and we recently opened our new Center for Women and Children, which provides a patient-friendly atmosphere dedicated to their care. With the recent renovations, the Center resembles a comfortable, upscale hotel rather than a traditional medical facility, and is designed to help our patients and their families feel at home while receiving quality healthcare.
Women’s Suites
The renovations at Flowers include a redesigned area that features new floor finishes, beds, chairs, sofas, desks and glider rockers. Additionally, all rooms are equipped with wireless Internet capability and DVD players for the comfort and convenience of our patients and their families. Dedicated to meeting the healthcare needs of women, the Women’s Suites at Flowers accommodate new mothers as well as women undergoing treatment for other medical conditions.

Birthing Suites
Experiencing the birth of a child is truly one of the highlights of a woman’s life, and at Flowers Hospital, the expanded Labor and Delivery department features 10 Birthing Suites, each with new beds, monitors and furnishings. There are also two surgical suites within the department for patients who undergo Cesarean section deliveries.

After giving birth, mothers and their newborns are cared for by an experienced nursing staff in a postpartum suite. This redesigned area features new floor finishes, beds, chairs, sofas, desks, glider rockers, wireless Internet capability and DVD players for the convenience of the new parents and their guests. At Flowers Hospital, our motto is “it’s your choice” when it comes to deciding where the baby will sleep at night. Parents have the option of their newborn staying in the room with them after delivery or to stay in the nursery so mom and dad have a chance to rest and prepare for the joyous journey ahead.

Pediatrics
The new vibrant surroundings in Pediatrics provide a cheerful atmosphere for young patients, helping to ease the anxiety they might experience while being in a hospital. The Pediatric wing has been transformed into a woodland scene featuring animals, trees and foot path trails throughout the hallways. This renovated area also features wireless Internet capability and DVD players.

Professional Staff
The Flowers Hospital Center for Women and Children is proud to be served by a professional medical staff of obstetricians, gynecologists and pediatricians and experienced registered nurses. These caring individuals strive to ensure patients receive high-quality care.
We hope you have an opportunity to visit our new Center for Women and Children. If you are a patient or a visitor at the Center and hear the Brahms Lullaby playing over the public address system, you’ll know the birth of a new baby is being celebrated! |
