Women’s Diagnostic Center at Flowers Hospital Passes FDA Inspection
Dothan, Al, July 2010 — The Women’s Diagnostic Center at Flowers Hospital has completed and passed a two-day inspection by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The annual inspection, required by the Mammography Quality Standards Acts (MQSA), consisted of a thorough examination of procedures, records, interviews with employees, and observations by the inspector.

Our Radiologists and staff will continue to provide quality mammography services for our patients now and in the future.”
The FDA requires all mammography facilities in the United States to undergo annual inspections ensuring each site is making improvements in mammography services. There are currently 8,713 FDA certified mammography facilities nationwide.
