Flowers Hospital Announces Barry Moss as Assistant Chief Executive Officer

DOTHAN, AL (August 25, 2011) – Barry Moss has officially been named the Assistant Chief Executive Officer of Flowers Hospital. In his new role, Moss holds administrative responsibility for several departments to include Surgery, Anesthesia, Outpatient Surgery, Respiratory, Information Systems, Sleep Medicine, and Cancer Registry. Previously, Moss served as the Vice President of Professional Services since July 2007, where he was responsible for administrative oversight of physician recruitment and the credentialing process for a Medical Staff of more than 250 physicians and 70 allied health providers, among other general administrative duties. Moss began his career at Flowers Hospital as an Administrative Resident in July 2005.

Moss received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Birmingham Southern College in May 2003. Moss would go on to earn a Master of Business Administration degree and a Master of Science in Health Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Moss is a native of Winfield, Alabama, having graduated from Winfield High School. He and his wife, Deborah, live in Dothan and have two children, Canon and Tera. Moss serves on the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Wiregrass Children’s Home Board of Directors, and is on the Finance Committee at Covenant United Methodist Church.
