2010 Patient Choice Awards

Flowers Hospital is Asking Patients for Input in Selecting Top Nurses

Dothan, AL (April 6, 2010) – Flowers Hospital is once again seeking to honor one of our nurses through the annual Patient Choice Award program. This prestigious award recognizes the level of expertise, compassion and quality care provided by our nurses every day. Continuing the tradition, Flowers Hospital is asking for input from the community. One nurse will be selected from the nominations to receive the Patient Choice Award that will be presented at Flowers Hospital during Nurses’ Week, May 6-12.

Flowers Hospital asks former patients and family members to nominate an exceptional nurse, because patients are the ones directly impacted by their care. “We ask patients and their family members to provide us with the nominations because they see the little things that matter so much on a personal level,” says Dan Cumbie, Chief Nursing Officer for Flowers Hospital. “Our goal is to provide compassionate care to every patient who enters our facility, so their opinions are important to us. This award gives the people we serve the ability to honor a nurse who provided exceptional care.”

If you or a family member came to Flowers Hospital for inpatient, outpatient or emergency care in the last year and have a nurse you would like to thank for going the extra mile, do not miss this opportunity. Nominations for the 2010 Patient Choice Award will be accepted until Friday, April 30. Nominations can be made online at the hospital’s website at www.flowershospital.com/nominations.

In addition, nominations can be e-mailed, mailed or faxed by April 30. E-mail nominations to bstripling@flowershospital.com, mail to: Barbara Stripling, Marketing Director, Flowers Hospital, 4370 West Main Street, Dothan, AL 36305, or fax to: 334-615-7282.
