Flowers Hospital Surgical Technologist Program

The aim of our program is to graduate Surgical Technologists who can function in the operating room. To reach this goal, we combine classroom instruction and excellent clinical experiences. Graduates are required to take the National Certification Exam.

Applications are only taken during the months of April and May and are available in the Human Resources Department. To apply now, please download, print and complete the ST application and return to the Human Resources Department. We currently enroll classes each year in the fall. The course lasts 11 months and is divided into two semesters. Calendars for the current year are available from the Program Director.

Students are required to maintain an 80% average. Extra tutoring is available upon request of your instructors.

Our graduates are employed at hospitals in the operating room and cardiac catheterization labs, in surgery centers and in physician offices. Some graduates explore employment opportunities across America. Surgical Technology is an ever changing career opportunity. There are openings for STs in many venues.
