Program Overview
The aim of our program is to graduate Surgical Technologists who can function in the operating room. To reach this goal, we combine classroom instruction and excellent clinical experiences. Graduates are eligible to take the National Certification Exam.
Applications must be made prior to June 1 of each year, and are available in the Human Resources Department. We currently enroll classes each year in the fall. The course lasts 11 months and is divided into four quarters lasting 10-11 weeks each. Depending on the time of year, there is at least one week break between quarters. Calendars for the current year are available from the Program Coordinator.
Students are required to maintain at least an 80% average. Extra tutoring is available upon request of your instructors.
Our students are employed at Hospitals in the operating room and cardiac catheterization labs, in Surgery Centers and in physician offices. Some graduates take advantage of travelers agencies to explore employment opportunities across America.
Surgical Technology is an ever changing career opportunity. There are currently openings for STs in many venues.
